The Initial Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft still intends to engage players with compelling titles on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
The two games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Upcoming Headline Games
On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th β and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine β Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are very dependable. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around β transforming them into excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
